So it may surprise people that despite my online presence with my full real name, I'm a bit of a privacy nut. See my name isn't unique and there's very little actual infomration about me around except what I choose to put forth. In my quest for a little more privacy I've recently taken some pretty drastic actions.

1.) I don't have an apt: I live in a buddy's apartment in venice, and I pay him my rent in cash
2.) I don't have a registered car: I bought a car from another buddy, but everything is in his name
3.) No creditcards : I exclusively use prepaid creditcards from WebSecretCards, it costs 5 bucks a month, and you can only get em for $500 dollars max , but it works out
4.)I have a cellphone, but it's totally prepaid with the anonymous creditcard
5.) I get paid in cash or in kind

Clearly this can only continue for so long because at some point I must rejoin the real world unless I want to end up like one of those off the grid hippies ( worse things have happened), but for now it's kinda fun not to exist

Well I did it, I quit my job and moved back to LA. Right now I'm living in the livingroom of a scuzzy apartment in Venice with some friends of friends. The plus side is the price, extra cheap. I've officially begun working as an "Experience Design Consultant" the idea is eventually I'll work with event planners and PA's for big money people to ensure their clients get unique tailored experiences, but so far I've just set up a few bachelor parties and made very little money on my own. For now it's the crappy "general intern" position at a crappy entertainment company in santa monica that's paying my bills. But soon that'll change

Support the arts, or at least a magazine devoted to them. I chanced upon this link the other day to a promising site. Anything with a slightly pretentious artsy pic of cute blond can't be all bad right? But seriously it'd be cool to get involved with some random up and coming artist projects and events, ya know at least support the kind of thing I don't have the talent to muster. Either way I'll probably check back to the site every once in a while.

So lately I've gotten really into the idea of subversively acting against the corporate machine I'm part of ala adbusters, the problem is of course the lack of time money and inspiration. But I've if nothing else maybe I'll use my ill gotten gains to fund a billboard campaign or make some anti-corp tshirts for friends with that "vote for pedro" punch. There's somethign awfully appealing about culture jamming and the war for the minds of the public, fought one sensory experience at a time

I've given up on the GMATs once and for all; grad school isn't for me. I don't really know what I'm gonna do, but I'm sure it doesn't involve studying other peoples successes or working for someone else. I'm on the verge of something big, I just need to figure it out, hell maybe it's time to go back west

I signed onto this "blogger" thing to post a comment on someones blog to get a free gmail account. I figure I may as well use it to get my opinion out. I don't spend much time on the internet so don't expect anything too fancy, and I won't add to it too regularly. I guess it'll give me something to do to avoid GMAT studies
